Bring the field trip to your school!

The Digitarium is a portable Planetarium that is available to all NIESC/NWIESC member school districts. This easy to use system allows for physical modeling of the atmosphere in 3D. Please join us for a day of training on how to set up and use the Digitarium so you can bring the wonders of astronomy to your students of all ages in your very own buildings!

 You have the opportunity to experience some of the following:

• Demonstrating Earth’s rotation
• View the night sky, constellations and experience solar/lunar eclipses
• Visit planets up close
• Take a trip around the sun
• Use integrated stories to guide lessons or create your own

This is a VERY hands-on training!  You will be on the floor, unpacking and setting up equipment so attendees need to dress comfortably!

Agenda:

Being a NIESC/NWIESC Member, this full day training will include:

• Proper entry, seating and exit of the dome (fits 20 students or 15 adults)
• Training and practice time using the iPad to navigate the solar system
• Review of the built in stories or how to create your own adventure
• Proper care and troubleshooting of the dome and projection system

Lunch will not be provided, however, there will be a 45 minute lunch break from 12:00-12:45 for you to lunch on your own.

Event Cancellation Policy

• Registrants who notify NIESC of their cancellation on or before the registration deadline date will not be required to pay the registration fee.
• Registrants who cancel after the registration deadline but one week before the workshop date or call to cancel on the day of the workshop, will pay 50% of the registration fee.
• Registrants who neglect to call or notify NIESC of their cancellation will be responsible for paying the full registration fee.
• On official school corporation weather-related cancellation days, registrants will not be required to pay registration fees.
• Registrants attending a free event who do not cancel within the week before the event will be charged a no-show fee of $25.
