Lay a strong foundation for your youngest mathematicians with practical, high-impact Tier 1 strategies designed for grades K–2. This full-day session is split into two targeted parts to help you build the essential skills students need for future math success. In the morning, we will focus on deep number sense, exploring hands-on routines that help students understand what numbers actually mean and confidently talk about their thinking. In the afternoon, we will dive into computation, sharing concrete classroom practices that help students transition from basic counting to flexible, accurate addition and subtraction.
