Description:
A free, hands-on technical workshop from Fortinet
Most people still think of Fortinet as a firewall company. This workshop shows what the platform actually does now.
In this 4-hour session, participants build a real school network environment: configuring switching and wireless, creating VLANs and SSIDs, setting up Network Access Control policies, and managing everything from a single interface, first directly, then through centralized management across multiple sites.
This isn't a demo. Participants leave having actually done the work.
What you'll learn to do:
- Create a FortiLink interface connecting switches and access points to the firewall
- Authorize and manage switches and access points
- Build VLANs and network policies
- Configure wireless networks (SSIDs) and radio settings
- Assign firewall policies at the network edge
- Manage devices centrally across multiple sites
- Configure Network Access Control (NAC) policies
- Configure MCLAG for switch redundancy
Audience:
- Technology Staff, no prior Fortinet experience required
Special Instructions: Laptop required for 4 hour, Hands-on learning session.
